2 years after Only Me, Me Alone, Jasper De Maeseneer directed his master film Shutterspeed.

The film is about Cas who is a sensitive 15-year-old looking for a connection. During a school field trip to the sea, he and Jard, a 22-year-old trainee teacher, slip away to take photographs. Although Cas has posed for Jard before, he feels increasingly uncomfortable by what he is asked to do. Yet the visibility Jard provides is addictive. Then Jard suddenly drops him in favour of new targets. Cas tries to regain control and finds himself stuck in a cycle of longing.
